Last Friday was a big day for me, in addition to having my interview for the Córdova and Fernós Congressional Internship, it was my first time covering an  event for the fashion internship I got with Ego Moda & Estilo Magazine. The event was a fashion show for the jewelry designer Ivelisse Nieves called "Las dos Fridas", which was inspired by one of Frida Kahlo's paintings called "My dress hanging there". What a coincidence, huh, it was probably meant to be, as my friend Ana said. The whole event was incredible, I got to go behind the scenes, and enjoy the actual scene having cocktails, following the photographers, and mingling; introducing myself was fun because of the reaction of people realizing my name was the title of the show. I wore an all white look, which I was yearning to try, but was saving it for an event like this. I would have to say that my favorite piece of the look is the Zara Culotte Shorts, that have been around the blog scene quite a lot in similar all white looks too, but I wanted to try the trend and the iconic piece for myself (I guess almost anyone can pull them off if they are brave enough). The white blouse I wore is from Anne Taylor, and for the event I wore my Valija Gitana snake skin sandals, but I prefer the look a lot more with the new Sora Sandals from Shoedazzle, which are perfect for the summer. If you want to see a bit of the fashion show, I posted below a couple of vine videos I took (thank goodness for this app, which I am so hooked on so you better go follow Frida Lorraine) way better than just iPhone photos. You can see more photos of the event on www.egomoda.com as well.

Here is what might be one of the most important outfits anyone needs to pick out in their lives, the job interview look. This look was for last Friday, the day I had my interview for the Córdova and Fernós Congressional Internship Program in Washington, D.C. I wore a Banana Republic blouse, Anne Taylor crop pants, Charlotte Russe pointed toe pumps, Shoedazzle Blanca purse, and though I did not show it here I wore a Forever 21 blazer as well. I thought this blouse was perfect because blue is the business color (although for a government job this may mean a political party, so careful with that), the print was very feminine and perfect for a day look even though the colors were dark, and the neckline looks very chic. After choosing a top the rest of the outfit was very easy and simple. The hair and makeup was simple as well, hair down and sleek, and makeup concentrated on the eyes with black eyeliner and a little blue eye shadow. I think the interview went well, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

Still not tired of black and white or stripes? I hope not because here is a look with both trends, which have been all over the place this spring and now summer. A long with that trend, I got brave and decided to show off my abs, which are still under development, with a crop top from Charlotte Russe. By adding some comfort to the look with my Aeropostale pants, and black pointed toe pumps that are also from Charlotte Russe, I completed the look with effortless chic-ness. I kept it very minimalistic with almost no jewelry, a very clean bun and mod style black eye liner. I wore this to go out on Thursday to La Taberna Lúpulo, with Texi and friends. I definitely felt the summer heat even without being covered so much, good thing I had a nice beer in one hand refreshing conversations with friends. Some of you might have been expecting my look for Friday, which was the day of my Congressional Internship interview and my first fashion show with Ego Moda Magazine. Dont worry, they will be on the next post ;)

Here is the other look from my stay at El Conquistador I mentioned in the last post. This is what I wore for dinner that Saturday night. It was another Charlotte Russe dress perfect for summer because of the tribal print bustier and the pop of pink in a high low skirt. I paired it with the black Charlotte Russe heels I also wore on Friday, they were the only heels I brought, but they matched perfectly with both looks. Black heels are a definite essential to pack on a weekend stay like this. Enjoy this look and get ready, because I'm expecting some new shoes, and this weekend I am in need of wearing a fabulous outfit, you'll see why.

Nothing says summer like a dress made of 100% cotton, especially a white one like this, which is from Charlotte Russe. There wasn't much styling to this look, since it is so laid back (sandals were a must), and also I brought almost no accessories to my stay at El Conquistador Resort, which was the perfect place to take these pictures. There is still one more look from my stay here, and yes it is another dress! If you're gonna stay at a place like this and there isn't much space in your bag, all you have to pack is a dress for each day, some sandals, at least two pairs of shorts and some tops to go with them. Enjoy the pictures, I sure did ;)

Hello again fellow readers! I hope you are enjoying your weekend as much as I am. Right now I am writing to you from El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, one of my favorite hotels, which I get to enjoy at least once a year for the convention of the Industrial Association of Puerto Rico. This was my arrival look. I was wearing Charlotte Russe animal print shorts, shoes, bracelet, and watch, and the a Pacific Sunwear top a long with the round acetate sunglasses I bought a while back on Ebay. This look could have also worked well matching the leopard print with white to make it look more like a day look, but I decided to go with black because I just love this top and I wanted to match the shoes too. The day wasn't all that pretty yesterday so I didn't get to go to the pool or the beach, but I did enjoy a few perks of the convention an even had my first macaroon. More resort looks coming soon!

Well I hope you are ready for this look, which I was saving for a night I knew would be special, but was still surprised at how amazing it was. I wore this to celebrate my fifth anniversary with Texi, for which we went to a very fine restaurant called 1919 in the Vanderbilt Hotel in Condado. The place was stunning, the food was delicious, they had the best craft beer I have ever had, and the service was incredible. We ordered a prix fix menu that included three courses, but in addition to that we got a free yummy appetizer (see my Instagram for foodporn pics) and two glasses of Billecart-Salmon Champagne. When the dessert came, a very shiny little present came along with it! It was a pre-engagement ring that left me speechless. The night was definitely very special, and to celebrate we even got a free bottle of wine too. I was so glad I had saved this outfit for this. I wore Charlotte Russe lace bustier and maxi skirt a long with the Sarita turquoise platforms from Shoedazzle. There is nothing more romantic than lace, especially in such a soft color as baby blue. To add more romance I did my makeup with blue smokey eyes and nude lips. Here are a few pictures of the look and of the night I will never forget. Oh that reminds me: Happy Memorial Day!

This post is a little difficult to write since I have so much I want to share, but I'm taking it "one sequin at a time". I wore this look on Wednesday to an interview for an internship at Ego Moda & Estilo Magazine, for which I got the job! The T-shirt I wore is new from O Pium, which I got as soon as I was notified it arrived! I wore it along with new Charlotte Russe pointed toe pumps, for which I did not even need the employee discount because I got them for $10. I also wore my Charlotte Russe scuba skirt, Forever 21 blazer, and my favorite purse of the moment from Shoedazzle. If you've seen my Instagram and Twitter you know I just celebrated my fifth anniversary with Texi, and this is the other big thing I want to share with you, but you will see it in the next post (you should be used to my mystery). Enjoy this look, and get ready for something that shines more than sequins!

Happy Saturday fellow readers! I am in an incredibly good mood since I finally got a Saturday off from work and it is the first weekend of what I hope to be an incredible summer, even though I haven't exactly planned anything (I do plan a few shopping trips). Here is another summer look sans shorts. Depending on the material, leggings are great for covering your legs in the summer heat. I wore this yesterday for work, but with flats instead of the white lace Lita boots you see here, which I've been yearning to wear again. You've probably seen the top from Charlotte Russe and the leggings from Foerever 21 separately in other looks. Together these pieces make an unexpected combination that is why I called the look sugar and cyanide. I would like to take advantage of this post to announce that I finally created a Facebook page for the blog, so please like it HERE to get all the updates ;) Thanks for all the support!

I don't know if you would consider this a summer look since the galaxy print has been around for a while now, and I am sans shorts. Still, I think it is a trend that will be around for a while longer so here I am wearing them to catch The Great Gatsby movie. Let's just say I will be watching it again because I cannot get enough of Leo. I had not even finished reading the book, but I couldn't wait. Along with theRomwe sunset glow print leggings, I was wearing a top from Seven by Lu, white sneakers from Aeropostale, and new blue mirrored aviators from American Eagle Outfitters. I looked more like I was   going to watch Star Trek because of the outer space motif, but I didn't have anything that looked 20's (if I had, trust me I would have worn it to go along with the theme of the film). Enjoy!
